What Kedalio is

Kedalio is your personal agent, always on, that works for you and leads a team of other agents. It does not start from one assistant: it starts from an agent you configure. Claude Code, Codex or a model behind an API key is the engine you put in it, not the product.

Pre-release

Kedalio is at 1.0.0-alpha. These guides describe only what is built today, and say so where a page of the app or a piece is still missing. Version 1.0 is done when four scenarios pass on a real server as a scripted test: an agent started from Claude that pushes a branch, a night run found in the morning report, a squad started and answered from the phone, and an empty server installed in three manual steps.

The pieces

• The server holds everything: your access, your memory and tasks, projects, the encrypted vault, your agent, squads and assignments, the cost ledger, and the channel to the hosts. It serves the app and one MCP connector. It is the only source of truth.
• Hosts are where agents run: one container each, connected out to the server over a WebSocket, so a host works behind NAT with no open port. A host holds nothing of yours; every run builds its own environment from the server.
• The app is a web app on the server’s address, installable on the phone. It has five areas: Today, Chat, Projects, Memory and System (your agent, hosts, accounts and costs, health, access, tools, skills, preferences).
• The connector lets Claude and ChatGPT use your memory, your tasks and your squads, and talk to your agent. Going the other way, tools and integrations give your agent and your projects the MCP servers you add.

The words

Word	What it means
Agent	One engine at work on one brief, on one host, in its own worktree and branch.
My agent	The one you talk to. It knows you, plans, and hands code work to squads.
Squad	A tree of agents started by one brief, with one budget. Agents start agents inside it.
Request	What an agent asks before an action its delegation does not cover. It climbs to the parent first, then to you.
Assignment	Work with a «when»: a schedule, a date, or an event. It starts a squad when it fires.
Host	A machine that runs agents.
Account	An engine login: a subscription or an API key.
Memory	Notes, people, projects, the diary and the tasks, on the server.

Where to start

1. Install a server: one command on a machine with Docker, or Coolify.
2. Add a host: the installer already starts one.
3. Add an engine login (Engines and costs) and the connector in Claude or ChatGPT.
4. Meet your agent, then give work to squads, by day or overnight.
